As DJ Heartbeat, Lloyd has been a popular and highly regarded DJ at a variety of events in and around the Bay area for over a decade. Before moving to Marin County in 1985, he was a DJ in Colorado at a variety of dances & events. Lloyd has hosted and organized ongoing DJ series at the Larkspur Café Theater, World Dance & Fitness in San Anselmo, at Rudramandir in Berkeley and elsewhere. He occasionally DJs at the Groove Garden in Fairfax for the "chill space". Now he is in "regular rotation" at Berkeley's Barefoot Boogie, and hosts his own ""Chance to Dance" events at Rudramandir in Berkeley. Dances, events, private parties, fund-raisers, weddings and birthdays, corporate affairs, and whatever else might suit your musical fancies -- all are fair game for DJ Heartbeat. He'll spin his mesmerizing, magical musical mixes that will span dance tracks, world beat, chill out, electronica, tribal beats, flowing trance, reggae, oldies, dynamite cover tunes and always a few well-placed surprises.
